On October 24th, the BIG4LIFE project participated in the Urban Green and Biodiversity Fair held in Igualada, an event designed to address the evolving demands in urban greening and biodiversity sectors. This fair presented a unique opportunity for the BIG4LIFE consortium to connect with municipal officials, technicians, and private sector professionals interested in urban green spaces.
During the fair, BIG4LIFE coordinator Gabriel Pérez showcased the project’s work on the environmental and social benefits of BIG systems, highlighting how these green initiatives contribute to urban biodiversity, enhance community well-being, and support sustainable urban policies. The project emphasizes collaboration among stakeholders to ensure the long-term viability and functionality of BIG systems.
As cities increasingly recognize the importance of urban greening, the participation of BIG4LIFE in this fair underscores its commitment to fostering sustainable practices that promote both ecological health and urban livability. Attendees gained valuable insights into innovative solutions and collaborative approaches to enhance urban biodiversity and greenery.
